With reference to your letter of the 29th October 1905 forwarding a copy of a letter received from the Crown Agents for the Colonies, requesting that pay-

ments be made to Mr A. Watters a Pensioner of the Govern-

ment of Hong Kong I have the honour by direction to

inform you that Mr Watters died in the Mackay Fospital

on the 12th July last. His pension was paid up to the

31st March 1908 and payment for the period 1st April to

12th July was therefore due at the date of death. Appli-

cation has been made for this amount by the Mackay Hospital

authorities towards settlement of deceased's account which

is enclosed together with letters of the 25th July and 20th

October from that Institution, and I am to request that

the claim may be submitted to the frown Agents for the

Colonies for consideration.
